Maxime Larive

.

Maxime Larivé is a PhD Candidate in International Relations and European Politics, Jean Monnet Fellow (2011-12) and Lecturer at the University of Miami (USA). He received a Master degree in 2006 in International Relations from Suffolk University (USA) and a BA in History/Geography from the University of Nice (France) in 2004. He has been working as a Research Assistant at the Jean Monnet Chair/ European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Miami since 2007. His research focuses on the issues of European Union integration, foreign policy analysis, security studies, transatlantic relations and European security and defense policy. He also writes weekly pieces on the questions of European security and transatlantic relations for Foreign Policy Blogs. Maxime is currently working on his dissertation, which looks at the unification process of EU security and defense policies from 1999 to 2009, or the Solana era.
